GROUP 33
Group 33
Group 33 Advocates is a grouping of like-minded advocates who have decided to associate themselves with one another to establish an integrated and demographically representative professional and commercial environment.
Each member pursues his or her own individual practice while simultaneously being aligned to the principal short- and long-term goals of the group.
The group as a whole benefits from the individuality of its members. In this respect, our members range from established senior advocates, who have been practising for decades, to newly qualified advocates who have only recently completed pupillage.
We believe that the group’s balanced senior/junior ratio too is conducive towards securing the success of the group; the transfer of skills, knowledge and experience from senior practitioners to junior practitioners and the empowerment of the next generation of practitioners.

Brooklyn Advocates’ Chambers
Brooklyn Advocates' Chambers
In 2001 a small group of Advocates had the foresight to recognise that the commercial hub of Pretoria would move out of the CBD and to the east and that this move would be followed by the majority of Attorneys' firms.
The result was the identification and acquisition of a suitable site in the Brooklyn business node and the construction of a custom-designed building to house new chambers.
In a first for the Advocates' profession, sixty Advocates of the Pretoria Bar made a financial commitment to the project and successfully acquired ownership of their own building.
The new chambers, called the Brooklyn Advocates' Chambers, are housed in a stylish and timeless designed building with an ideal situation next to the Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary and next to a municipal park resulting in a very rustic atmosphere.
The decision to move has proved to have been prescient as the group was soon followed by a large-scale migration east of all the major Attorneys' firms.
In addition, over the ensuing years, three further separate groups of Advocates have moved to the Brooklyn area.
The strength of the Brooklyn group lies in their commercial expertise.
The building has an arbitration facility, ample secure parking and an excellent clubroom with restaurant facilities.
