Currently reading for his LL.D., with a focus on constitutional history and jurisprudence, after the Senate of the University of Pretoria decided to upgrade his master's dissertation to a doctoral thesis. He has contributed a chapter covering South African constitutional history to the textbook Studente-inleiding tot die Konstitusionele Reg (2022).
